For my birthday weekend, my boyfriend was sweet enough to surprise me with a spontaneous trip to Santa Barbara. Upon arrival, he introduced me to the coolest form of "glamping" -airstreams. If you don't know what these are, they're mobile homes that look like groovy time machines. But don't let the silver pod exterior fool you. Airstreams are actually quite luxurious on the inside (at least the one we stayed in). Complete with hard wood floors, this unique home was fitted with modern decor and the latest tech - and equipped with a pretty rad surround system. Despite the limited space, airstreams have all the essentials, including a bathroom, kitchen, living space, desk, bedroom, closet, and a flatscreen. The plot outside even had a cute lawn for lounging during the day and stargazing at night.
The location wasn't too shabby either. Airstream Santa Barbara put us only a few miles from downtown, which could only mean one thing, photo shoot! For a mere $15, I was able to snatch this gorgeous satin slip dress, which complimented my favorite, berry red lipstick (Loréal "Zoe's Red" #406). My go-to leather jacket was the perfect combatant to the crisp breeze and especially came in handy when the sun went down. I really wanted to indulge in the "dress and sneaks" trend, hence the plimsoll shoes. Finally, I threw on a white belt to singe in the maxi and tossed on a fun purse for movement.
Overall, I had so much fun on the trip and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks, baby!
