My boyfriend recently took me to Morgan Hill, California, where we visited Villa Mira Monte. I learned the house was built in 1844 and put this tiny city on the map. Pretty cool, huh? As I saw the Queen-Anne style architecture and lush gardens, I knew it was the perfect place for a photo-op.
As of late, I’ve found an increasing number of cute pieces from Forever 21. While I don’t normally gravitate toward orange, I decided to make an exception when I saw this cotton midi-dress. Was I nervous the color would wash me out or make me look like piece of fruit? Sure. Yet, I was delightfully surprised to find it complimented my skin tone. Since I’m really into the “tennis shoes paired with dresses” movement, I slipped on a pair of white plimsolls and added my current favorite accessories -- a polkadot neckerchief, geometric RayBans and a gorgeous beige coat -- to complete the look.
